What is USTA?

Union/Snyder Transportation Alliance (USTA) is the provider of coordinated human service public transportation for the residents of Union and Snyder Counties.
USTA is a branch of the Union-Snyder Community Action Agency (US-CAA) and is governed by the Joinder Board of the Union and Snyder County Commissioners.
USTA’s fleet is comprised of 36 accessible small transit buses and mini-vans. The immediate service area covers approximately 650 square miles and USTA staff works with several neighboring counties to provide services not available within the two-county region.

USTA’s service is available Monday through Friday. Trip requests must be reserved by 10:00 am the working day prior to the date of service and riders must be willing to share their ride with others. USTA is available to transport individuals for any trip purpose, not just medical appointments.
Sponsored by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PDOT) and the Union-Snyder Agency on Aging, USTA is able to provide rides for those age 65+ at an 85% discount. USTA is also the recipient of a PDOT grant that offers persons with disabilities, between the age of 18 and 64, to ride at an 85% discount. Individuals that have an ACCESS card from the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare can ride to eligible medical trips at no fare. USTA is open to the general public at full fare rates.
